Where is ralof after helgen

He disappears forever in the game if you side with the imperials Who knows. Anyhow why does it bother you if you side with the imperials anyways? Ralof is your enemy so you should careless where hes at Oh and why should he return to Riverwood when the location is surrounded by imperials soldiers? Same with Windhelm, since it's no longer a safe haven for stormcloaks. Going to either location would be like committing suicide.

It's still a bit strange though that you don't encounter either ralof or hadvar depending who you choose again in the game, especially after the dialogue between the two right before you have to escape. It would even make sense to fight them during the escape as you take the same route either way. Just because you go with one of these guys at the start doesn't necessarily mean that you have "sided" with either the stormcloaks or the imperials, especially if you don't follow that questline.

In my first playthrough I didn't even realise you could choose between them, I was too busy running away from the dragon. Luckily i followed ralof which worked out fine for me as It's what I would of picked anyway.

Kairee Blackblade Premium Member. Ralof, being a Stormcloak, is dead, in hiding, or a prisoner of war. Actually, he'd show up there even if you followed Ralof out of Helgen but sided Imperial instead.

If you had joined the Stormcloaks, Hadvar is dead, in hiding, or a prisoner of war. With Ralof you fight 2 Imperial soldiers at the entrance but neither of them are Hadvar.

And with Hadvar you fight 2 Stormcloaks at the entrance but neither of them are Ralof. So what happened?! What do you just go into the keep with one person and then the other one just gets killed by Alduin immediately after? Showing 1 - 15 of 19 comments. Then at a later time, they snuck out to either camps or HQ and you run into them again later in the game. So basically, at the fort, you don't exactly see the other go inside, so maybe the odd one out never went inside Helgen with you and the one guy you chose, but maybe slipped out via one of the gates?

After Helgen got destroyed, they both went hiding for a time until they had a chance to hear of what happens to thier faction and eventually left to join up. I think you see them sometime during the civil war mess? Eternie View Profile View Posts.

They both survive helgen Just restart the game and follow the other one to find out. Also instead of running off settle in with their family You will meet the one you escaped with as you start the civil war mess of quests. You will be tasked with getting the Jagged Crown. If you use the same side in the war Hadver or Ralof will be incharge of the soldiers there.

Which use to give you a chance of getting a copy of the Jagged crown for yourself! After all the dragonborn should wear it!

His Ralof's family even give you a key of their house and you can meet him there again. Presumably, whichever you don't go with decides to double back to their leader Tullius or Ulfric , or escapes some other way. Hod : "What is it, woman?

Sven drunk on the job again? Just come here. What are you doing here? I'll be right down. Frodnar : "Uncle Ralof! Can I see your axe? How many Imperials have you killed? Do you really know Ulfric Stormcloak? This is no time for your games. Go and watch the south road. Come find us if you see any Imperial soldiers coming. Won't be long before you'll be joining the fight yourself. Don't worry, Uncle Ralof, I won't let those soldiers sneak up on you.

Frodnar will run off to watch for Imperial soldiers, while Hod will arrive and Ralof will sit on a tree stump:. Hod : "Now, Ralof, what's going on? You two look pretty well done in. Where to start? Well, the news you heard about Ulfric was true. The Imperials ambushed us outside Darkwater Crossing.

Like they knew exactly where we'd be. That was We stopped in Helgen this morning, and I thought it was all over. Had us lined up to the headsman's block and ready to start chopping. Treason, for fighting for your own people!

All of Skyrim would have seen the truth then. But then As strange as it sounds, we'd be dead if not for that dragon. In the confusion, we managed to slip away. Are we really the first to make it to Riverwood? Maybe we can lay up for a while. I hate to put your family in danger, Gerdur, but You and your friend are welcome to stay here as long as you need to. Let me worry about the Imperials. Any friend of Ralof's is a friend of mine. I knew we could count on you. Did Ulfric I'm sure he made it out.

It'll take more than a dragon to stop Ulfric Stormcloak. Help them drink up our mead, you mean. Good luck, brother. I'll see you later. I know how to lay low.
