They may be in the pay of the United States Government. But since the kites are self-propelled and radar-controlled, tails are quite superfluous and rather silly.
The choice between a tyrant and a tyrant of another gender seems to be the conundrum we are facing. In the case of Trump, it seems some are saying that a decision not to vote is the same as not voting at all a patently false equivalency meant to strong arm us into supporting the Democrat.
In the case of Clinton, the DNC has spent days trying to convince us that she is breaking barriers and is invested in communities of color. But, honestly, we have receipts. I have no advice for others in this election. Are you voting Democratic?
Well and good; all I ask is why? Are you voting for Eisenhower and his smooth team of bright ghost writers? Again, why? Will your helpless vote either way support or restore democracy to America? His questions underscore the ways that minority voters are often called to support a system and party candidates who do little more than offer rhetoric and jargon to changing our political landscape. You will take large part and bravely march to the polls, and that also will make no difference.
Stop running Russia and giving Chinese advice when we cannot rule ourselves decently. Stop yelling about a democracy we do not have.

The Fifteenth and Nineteenth Amendments enfranchised black men and women in and respectively, at which points Northern blacks—like Du Bois—could vote, though their counterparts in the South were often prevented by discriminatory regulations. And voting was no small thing to him. Washington, in his classic The Souls of Black Folk, which expressed his belief that economic advancement was unattainable without political and civil rights.
Du Bois saw presidential politics as a means to achieving racial and economic justice. He was a strategic voter. Under his administration many blacks lost their jobs.
