Great Falls of fire The title was changed to Great Falls during the production, and it was only when test screening audiences took a dislike to the name that American Pie was chosen instead.

While it does follow the tropes of a classic High School film , with characters being slotted into their stereotypical positions of nerds and jocks and the like, they were easy to connect with and a lot of fun to watch. Steve Stifler might bring a lot of funny moments to the series, but there is no doubt he is the least likeable out of all the main characters.

While he might be popular at school, a lot of his friends actually find him to be very annoying and it's clear a lot of people are only friends with him for the status and the large parties he throws.

He can be incredibly rude to others, especially Paul Finch, and that doesn't exactly translate to him being a nice person. Of course, Stifler does have some redeeming qualities, as deep down he does care about his close friends, even if he only shows that in glimpses. Vicky Lathum is one of the smarter characters within American Pie and is someone who is clearly well-liked by others. However, her presentation within the movie is often as someone who is quite angry and complains a lot, which doesn't translate to being a very likeable character.

To her credit, a lot of her grievances are fair due to the way Kevin tends to behave. However, because Vicky doesn't really unwind and relax like the other characters, she does come across as less likeable, especially since she doesn't have too many funny moments either.

Heather is another of the major love interests in American Pie and while she doesn't get quite as much attention as Vicky throughout the movie, she is certainly the more likeable character. Heather is well-grounded and knows what she wants and ensures that she thinks everything through before committing to anything.

She's an intelligent character and that certainly comes across throughout the film. Heather is also funny when she gets the time on-screen and happily goes back and forth with Oz and the other boys, which makes her a lot of fun to watch. Kevin Myers is the person who likes to organize everything within the group, and while that certainly does make him likeable as he clearly cares about his friends, he can be quite pushy.

Deep down, Kevin is just a nice guy and he doesn't cause any real problems, which makes him a likeable person. However, he does become quite obsessed with the virginity pact, which he pushes onto Vicky and his friends to the point where everyone becomes frustrated with him.
